            Baseball Recap: Greensboro Day School Bengals vs. GRACE Christian Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Greensboro Day School). They put the hurt on the GRACE Christian Eagles with a sharp  11-4 victory on Friday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Bengals.

 Trevor Waters was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. That's the first time  he hasn't allowed a single  hit since back in February of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing  Two bases. while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Oliver Fisher, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Cooper Braxton, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-5.
 Greensboro Day School  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as GRACE Christian only managed five  hits.
Greensboro Day School's record is now 3-1. As for GRACE Christian,  they are  on  a  14-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Coming up, Greensboro Day School will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Caldwell Academy  at 4:00  p.m. As for GRACE Christian, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Wake Christian Academy  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. This will  be Wake Christian Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
