Soccer Game Preview: Killeen vs. Bryan

Killeen is 0-6 against Bryan since January of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Killeen Kangaroos will take on the Bryan Vikings at 7:15 p.m. Killeen has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Killeen fell victim to Midway and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Kangaroos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 646th, while the Panthers are ranked 222nd).

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Bryan was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Midway.

Bryan's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Killeen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-15.

Killeen came up short against Bryan when the teams last played back in February, falling 2-0. Can Killeen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
