Basketball Recap: Wilmington Christian Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Hillsboro Christian Academy

Wilmington Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 73-52 to the Hillsboro Christian Academy Crusaders. One positive for the Blazers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Among those leading the charge was Jonah Brannon, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Hayden Tong, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards.

Wilmington Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hillsboro Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-8.

Wilmington Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Liberty Bible Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Hillsboro Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 90-29 defeat against CHESS Christian on the 25th.
