Soccer Recap: Clear Springs Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Clear Springs was not quite Brazoswood's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Brazoswood Buccaneers by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Chargers couldn't score was back in January, the team can't take the result too hard.

Clear Springs' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 12-5. As for Brazoswood, their record now sits at 10-6.

Clear Springs and Brazoswood should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Clear Springs will square off against Clear Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday up 142 places (94 vs. 236). Clear Springs will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Brazoswood (ranked 234th) will meet Dickinson (ranked 583rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
