Basketball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 47-39 to the Norborne Pirates. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 45-37.

Avi Leabo was the offensive standout of the match as she posted 24 points. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Carleigh Ellis was another key player, putting up ten points.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Norborne, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison will welcome Prairie Home at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Norborne, they will host Braymer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
