Brooke's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Clairsville Red Devils, sneaking past 13-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bruins have posted since March 25th.

Garrett Moore was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Ty Sperringer was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Brooke was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Brooke's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for St. Clairsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooke will square off against East Fairmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins are facing the Bees at the right time seeing as the Bees are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for St. Clairsville, they will face off against Harrison Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Red Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
