Softball Recap: Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Gets the Win

Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Menasha, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Raiders narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bluejays 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Red Raiders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Baylee Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.

On the hitting side, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kristin Radtke, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Rachel Linzmeier also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Menasha, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-11.

As of now, neither Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln nor the Bluejays have any future games scheduled.
