Basketball Recap: Mills Comes Up Short

Mills lost against Sequoia back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mills Vikings took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sequoia Ravens.

Despite the loss, Mills still got an impressive performance from Jefriel Bacorro, who went 11 for 18 en route to 29 points. What's more, Bacorro also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tanay Rai, who posted 11 points.

Even though they lost, Mills was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Mills' record is now 3-12. As for Sequoia, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mills will take on Westmoor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season. As for Sequoia, they will face off against El Camino at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
