Softball Recap: Ouachita Parish Has No Trouble Against Neville

Ouachita Parish made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Neville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Ouachita Parish Lions' way against the Neville Tigers on Tuesday as the Ouachita Parish Lions made off with a 13-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Aja Williams was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Rheagan Montgomery was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

Ouachita Parish was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Ouachita Parish has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. Neville is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
