Baseball Game Preview: Ruidoso Warriors vs. Capitan Tigers

The Ruidoso Warriors will square off against the Capitan Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.

Ruidoso saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came up short against Valencia, falling 13-3.

Trenton Hall made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Five bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Chavez, who scored a run and stole Three bases.

Meanwhile, Capitan had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 12-2 to Socorro.

Ruidoso's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Capitan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Ruidoso's way against Capitan in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Ruidoso made off with a 15-3 win. Will Ruidoso repeat their success, or does Capitan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
