Basketball Game Preview: MacArthur Brahmas vs. Canyon Cougars

The MacArthur Brahmas will take on the Canyon Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

MacArthur took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 65-30 win over Fox Tech. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-10.

MacArthur's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aiden Rios, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and seven assists, and Zak Aitmerim, who went 6-for-12 en route to 14 points. Those seven assists gave Rios a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Rios, who had nine points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Canyon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Churchill on Friday, but they still walked away with a 65-61 victory.
