Soccer Recap: Scotts Valley Comes Up Short

Scotts Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Santa Cruz Cardinals, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1125th, while the Cardinals are ranked 487th).

Scotts Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-2. As for Santa Cruz, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Aptos the next time they take the pitch. Santa Cruz will host Aptos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Scotts Valley will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
