Soccer Recap: Long Takes a Loss

Long lost against Northside Methodist Academy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rebels came up short against the Knights, falling 11-1. Long were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 6-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Isabella Rhodehouse, who's now up to two this season.

Long's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-4. As for Northside Methodist Academy, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Long will square off against Carroll at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Carroll will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Long surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northside Methodist Academy, they will challenge Ariton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside Methodist Academy will be up against Ariton's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.63 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
