Softball Recap: Byron Nelson Comes Up Short

Byron Nelson lost against Keller back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Byron Nelson Bobcat fell 11-6 to the Keller Indians. The Bobcat have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madison McBride made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Arianna Morales was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Byron Nelson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Keller, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-4-1.

Looking ahead, Byron Nelson will challenge V.R. Eaton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Byron Nelson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Keller, they will take on Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Keller's favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Trinity has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
