Basketball Recap: Sumner Triumphs

After losing to Duchesne the last time they met, Sumner decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Sumner Bulldogs pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over the Duchesne Pioneers on Friday.

Sumner's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Duchesne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Coming up, Sumner will head out on the road to challenge Whitfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sumner has insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Duchesne, they will welcome St. Charles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in St. Charles' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
