Basketball Recap: Central Christian Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Central Christian waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 64-43 margin over the St. Peter's Spartans. While the Comets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Central Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for St. Peter's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Aquinas at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th. St. Peter's will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
