Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Northridge's Tenth in Last 13 Outings

Northridge won the last time they faced Lakewood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vikings blew past the Lancers 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Northridge was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-13.

Northridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddie McCarthy, who had nine digs and two assists. That's the most digs McCarthy has posted since back in September. Reese Crow also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Northridge is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Lakewood, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Northridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Licking Heights on the 9th. As for Lakewood, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Mt. Vernon on the 9th.
