Basketball Recap: Cannelton Takes a Loss

Cannelton lost against Wood Memorial back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cannelton Bulldogs took a blow against the Wood Memorial Trojans, falling 72-19. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the Trojans are ranked 157th).

Cannelton's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Wood Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Cannelton has already played their next contest (against South Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wood Memorial, they have already played their next game, a 71-43 win against Vincennes Lincoln on the 15th.
