Soccer Recap: Grayson County Comes Up Short

Grayson County lost against Galax back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blue Devils lost 8-0 to the Maroon Tide. While losing is never fun, Grayson County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Galax are ranked 32nd).

Grayson County is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9-1. As for Galax, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2-2 record this season.

Grayson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Galax, they will host George Wythe at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. George Wythe will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Galax surely won't give up without a fight.
