Softball Recap: Middlesex Has No Trouble Against Colonial Beach

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lancaster, Middlesex was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Colonial Beach Drifters 13-0. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Drifters recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Cheyenne Musick, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayleigh Moye, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Middlesex always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colonial Beach only posted an OBP of .000.

The win got Middlesex back to even at 4-4. As for Colonial Beach, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middlesex will face off against Lancaster at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Red Devils have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for Colonial Beach, they will take on Fredericksburg Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Drifters' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season.
