Baseball Game Preview: Boca Raton Bobcats vs. Saint Andrew's Scots

The Boca Raton Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Saint Andrew's Scots at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Boca Raton came up short against West Boca Raton and fell 10-6. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Bulls: they've now lost four in a row.

Christian Olsen stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI. Mylo Pereira also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Saint Andrew's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of North Broward Prep by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Scots have suffered since March 12, 2024.

Saint Andrew's saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Orozco, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another was Connor Berman, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Boca Raton's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Saint Andrew's, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
