Baseball Recap: Cobden Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Cobden rose to the challenge on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Shawnee Redskins a 10-0 shutout. The Appleknockers haven't had any issues with the Redskins recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Matthew Howell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. James Eagle was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Cobden's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Shawnee, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Cobden nor the Redskins have any future games scheduled.
