Recap: Encina Prep Bulldogs vs. Forest Lake Christian Falcons
The Encina Prep Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Forest Lake Christian 100-37 on the road. Encina Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Encina Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Phillip Worsham, who scored 24 points. Nate Wroten was another key contributor, scoring 24 points.
Despite the defeat, Forest Lake Christian saw an underclassman step up: Brendan Hooper scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Caleb Fenton, who scored eight points.
Encina Prep's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 89.7 points per game. As for Forest Lake Christian, they are on a 20-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.
Encina Prep will be playing at home against Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 71.6 points so far this season, Encina Prep's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning better be ready for a challenge. As for Forest Lake Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against John Adams Academy at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Forest Lake Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
