Softball Recap: Killingly Comes Up Short

Killingly was the 2-1 winner over Stonington when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Trailblazers fell 8-3 to the Bears on Tuesday.

Killingly saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Durand, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Killingly's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Stonington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Killingly will host Waterford at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Stonington, they will be playing at home against Woodstock Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Centaurs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
