Baseball Game Preview: Don Bosco Prep Ironmen vs. Ridgewood Maroons

Don Bosco Prep has won 17 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Ridgewood has won 17 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Ironmen will host the Maroons at 4:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Don Bosco Prep had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Livingston on Wednesday. The Ironmen put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 9-1 victory.

Meanwhile, Ridgewood never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Hackensack.

Ridgewood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Don Bosco Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
