Football Preview: Robinson Knights vs. Jefferson Dragons
The Robinson Knights will venture away from home to take on the Jefferson Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Robinson ended up a good deal behind Strawberry Crest and lost 28-14.
Meanwhile, Jefferson put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Freedom 45-21. Fans of the Dragons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Ronnell Dubose continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 216 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 155 rushing yards dating back to last season. Daniel Wright was in the mix as well, providing Jefferson with two touchdowns.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Jefferson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Jefferson's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Jeremy Johnson was the leader with two. Antonio Delacruz was another major factor on D, making nine total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Robinson's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Jefferson, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
