Dynamic duo of Braylon Brock and Pedro Perez lead Salt Lake Academy to victory

You can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Salt Lake Academy Griffins's strategy against Uintah River on Friday. Salt Lake Academy put the hurt on Uintah River with a sharp 65-44 victory. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Salt Lake Academy had established a 20 point advantage.

Salt Lake Academy was led to victory by Braylon Brock and Pedro Perez. Brock dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds, while Perez scored 34 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perez has scored all season. Jaxson Soderquist was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.

Salt Lake Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Uintah River, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salt Lake Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Independence at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Uintah River will take on Anthem Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Anthem Prep is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
