Softball Recap: Roland-Story Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Roland-Story never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Grand View Christian Thunder with a sharp 10-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Norsemen, who have now won three games in a row.

Evelyn Carlson was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Eva Corcoran, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Roland-Story was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Roland-Story's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Grand View Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Roland-Story will host East Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grand View Christian, they will head out to take on Greene County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
