Baseball Recap: Colonial Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Colonial was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Edgewater Eagles by a score of 3-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Colonial has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Edgewater, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colonial will head out to challenge Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edgewater, they will take on Ocoee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
