Softball Recap: Hoover Takes a Loss

If Hoover was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Sissonville on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hoover fell just short of the Winfield Generals by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The match marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hoover saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadi Wehrle, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Hoover's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for Winfield, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoover will head out to take on Shady Spring at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Winfield, they will venture away from home to challenge Johnson Central at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
