Volleyball Game Preview: Calaveras Red Hawks vs. West Campus Warriors + Official Tickets

The Calaveras Red Hawks will take on the West Campus Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Calaveras is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Placer 3-2.

Calaveras had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-14, 18-16.

Calaveras can attribute much of their success to Isabelle Saiers, who had 15 digs and two assists. Saiers has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Calaveras was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Placer only served seven.

Meanwhile, West Campus entered their tilt with Orestimba on Tuesday with 15 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 16. They blew past Orestimba 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant West Campus was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-5, 25-15.

Calaveras' record is now 15-7. As for West Campus, their record now sits at 33-4.
