Basketball Game Preview: Richfield Wildcats vs. Canyon View Falcons

Richfield is 8-2 against Canyon View since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Richfield Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Canyon View Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Richfield took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 49-36 victory over Delta.

Richfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lilly Crane, who posted 13 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Crane a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Hayden White, who earned eight points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Canyon View hadn't done well against Carbon recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Canyon View came out on top against Carbon by a score of 64-51. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Dinos are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canyon View has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Richfield, they pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
