Baseball Recap: Aiken Comes Up Short

Aiken came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Summerville Green Wave, falling 11-1. The game marked the Fighting Green Hornets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Aiken saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Tindall, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Aiken's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Summerville, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aiken will venture away from home to take on Airport at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give Aiken their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Summerville, they will face off against Hanahan at 6:30 p.m. on March 14th.
