Basketball Game Preview: Byng Pirates vs. Sulphur Bulldogs

Byng is 8-2 against Sulphur since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Byng Pirates will be playing at home against the Sulphur Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Byng didn't have quite enough to beat Madill and fell 54-52.

Meanwhile, Sulphur entered their tilt with Lindsay on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 57-49 win over the Leopards.

Sulphur's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Byng, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Byng skirted past Sulphur 60-58 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Byng repeat their success, or does Sulphur have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
