Volleyball Recap: Wasatch Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Bountiful

On Wednesday, Wasatch faced Bountiful in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Wasatch Wasps fell 3-1 to the Bountiful RedHawks. The Wasps' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 19-25, 25-23.

JJ Serre paced Wasatch's offense, picking up 16 kills. Serre got some help from Brody Hulme and his 34 assists.

Wasatch's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Bountiful, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Wasatch will welcome Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wasatch is facing Springville at the right time seeing as Springville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bountiful, they will head out on the road to square off against Northridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bountiful will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Northridge will have lost five straight heading into Thursday's game.
