Basketball Recap: St. Raphael Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Raphael Academy can now relate to. They were beaten by the Barrington Eagles 67-31 on Friday. The Saints' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Barrington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Martin, who shot 55% from the field en route to 17 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Morrissette, who went 6-for-10 on her way to 12 points and seven steals.

St. Raphael Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Barrington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

St. Raphael Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barrington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-39 defeat against Portsmouth on the 10th.
