Spotswood and Turner Ashby are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Trailblazers will head out on the road to challenge the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated after three games, but that won't be the case come Thursday.

While Spotswood's victory against Rockbridge County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trailblazers beat the Wildcats by a goal, winning 2-1. That's two games straight that Spotswood have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Turner Ashby ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past Harrisonburg 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Turner Ashby were the better team in the second half.

Malachi Houff and Fredy 'Daniel' Hernandez scored both of Turner Ashby's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Spotswood's record is now 3-0. As for Turner Ashby, their record now sits at an identical 3-0.

Spotswood came up short against Turner Ashby when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Trailblazers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
