Softball Recap: Beechcroft Comes Up Short

Beechcroft fell victim to Whetstone and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 16-0 to the Braves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 11-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

This is the second loss in a row for Beechcroft and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Whetstone, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beechcroft will host East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 21 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Whetstone, they will welcome Franklin Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
