Soccer Recap: Mount Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mount Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Newark Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mount Pleasant of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Mount Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 0-4-2. As for Newark, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Mount Pleasant wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, an 11-2 win against DuPont on the 18th. Newark has also already played their next contest (against ASPIRA Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
