Barnwell snaps three-game streak of losses at home

Recap: Barnwell Warhorses vs. Edisto Cougars
The Barnwell Warhorses had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They slipped by Edisto 46-45 on Friday. The win was just what Barnwell needed coming off of a 71-47 defeat in their prior match.
Barnwell found their leader in underclassman Vashahd Scofield, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Pickney, who scored eight points.
Barnwell's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. As for Edisto, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14.
Barnwell won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Blackville-Hilda at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Blackville-Hilda focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday. As for Edisto, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hampton County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
