On Monday, Roosevelt faced School Without Walls in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Roosevelt Roughriders breezed by the School Without Walls Penguins to the tune of 68-36. The Roughriders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Roosevelt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ke'Mari Pointer led the charge by putting up nine points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Antoine Johnson, Jr., who posted eight points.

Roosevelt was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

School Without Walls lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tahkari Bates, who put up 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Lucia, who earned eight points and three steals.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for School Without Walls, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Roosevelt has already played their next contest, a 63-59 victory against Eleanor Roosevelt on the 14th. As for School Without Walls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 59-53 loss against Banneker on the 15th.
