Basketball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Monrovia Wildcats, falling 81-37. The Eagles lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 88-16 score last time.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Monrovia, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Looking ahead, Marshall will be playing in front of their home fans against Duarte at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Monrovia, they will challenge Santa Fe at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
