Basketball Recap: Ash Fork Starts off Right with Win over Seligman + How To Watch

Ash Fork took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 93-4 win over the Seligman Antelopes. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Antelopes: they've now won nine in a row.

Isabella Acosta was a one-woman wrecking crew as she dropped a double-double with 17 points and 18 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season. Gracie Staples was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Ash Fork smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 32 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Despite the defeat, Seligman saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Haileigh Solberg posted four points and four steals.

Ash Fork didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-10 win against Bagdad on the 24th. As for Seligman, they have also already played their next matchup, an 83-26 loss against Music Mountain on the 20th.
