Recap: Castaic Coyotes vs. Saugus Centurions
On Friday, Castaic got the win against Saugus by a conclusive 39-13. The result was nothing new for Castaic, who have now won six contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Leading Castaic to victory were Anthony Vernon and Tristan Arriaga. Vernon threw for 200 yards and four touchdowns, while Arriaga picked up 96 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Castaic's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.5 points per game. Saugus has traveled a rocky road this season, as they've lost eight of their first nine matches, which gives them a 1-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Castaic will take on West Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saugus, they will head out on the road to face off against Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
