Baseball Recap: Cherokee County Takes a Loss

Cherokee County and Cordova squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cherokee County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Warriors have suffered since March 25th.

Cherokee County is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 21-16-1. As for Cordova, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-15 record this season.

While Cherokee County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
