Loretto dropped their record down to 11-15 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 10-6 to the Lewis County Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-1 loss back in April.
Jayden Aaron made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
As for Lewis County, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-13. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.
On Lewis County's side, Fletch Kelsey was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Kelsey is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-13 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Brayden Whitlow, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
