The Kennedy Titans will face off against the American Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Kennedy hadn't beaten Mission San Jose on the road since April 5, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Titans put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 12-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Titans have posted against the Warriors since May 5, 2022.

Marilyn Rivas made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hannah Cornell was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Danica Harper was another key player, earning one run and three stolen bases.
Kennedy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mission San Jose only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, American was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 29-1 to Newark Memorial.
American saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mya Anderson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Kennedy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for American, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
American's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Kennedy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for American, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will Kennedy keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?
Everything went Kennedy's way against American when the teams last played back in April, as Kennedy made off with a 13-1 win. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
