Aquinas is a perfect 10-0 against Arrowhead Christian since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Aquinas Falcons challenge Arrowhead Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Aquinas barely beat Coachella Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Aquinas blew past Coachella Valley 10-4 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Mighty Arabs: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Arrowhead Christian never let their opponents score on March 4th. Everything went their way against Loma Linda Academy as Arrowhead Christian made off with a 10-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Gaby Rios was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Arrowhead Christian got a big performance out of Trinity Bavadi, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Emma Ebnit was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Arrowhead Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Aquinas' win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Arrowhead Christian, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4.

Everything went Aquinas' way against Arrowhead Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Aquinas made off with a 16-0 victory. Will Aquinas repeat their success, or does Arrowhead Christian has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
