Football Recap: Javonte Smith and Quinn Jenkins Secure Win for Jackson North Side

It was a classic North v. South duel when Jackson North Side took on Jackson South Side on Friday. The Indians enjoyed a cozy 25-6 win over the Hawks. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

A big part of Jackson North Side's victory came down to the chemistry between Quinn Jenkins and his top target Javonte Smith. Jenkins rushed for 56 yards and one score while Smith picked up 78 receiving yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Jenkins a new career-high in passing yards (128).

Jackson North Side has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 26 points this season. As for Jackson South Side, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
