Basketball Recap: Morgan City Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Tigers on Wednesday. The Morgan City Tigers lost 72-46 to the Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Morgan City of the 71-63 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Morgan City has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-17 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points over those games. As for Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season.
